Tanz in den Mai x Open Ground | Wuppertal  – Newa is opening the Freifeld. She explores the low-level end of the bass-spectrum as well as cunningly introducing squelchy acid together with intense melodies. Whether the end result is techno or an experimental ambient piece, she manages to create music resonating with depth and reflection.

Berghain residents and now frequent collaborators Ben Klock and Fadi Mohem have become synonymous with the classic, no frills aesthetic that’s come to define the Berlin institution’s sound, with one exception: their newest LP, LAYER ONE.

The album sees them step away from techno in a listening experience that explores IDM, ambient and experimental electronic music with guest vocal appearances.

With Ben playing 2 till 6am and Fadi playing 6am till 12 expect much more than techno.

London’s Touching Bass meet Cologne’s Heavy Feelings for round two, bringing their shared community-come-club night spirit to Open Ground’s hallowed second room, Annex.

This time around, African Acid is The Future founder MARYISONACID links with PARISSA (Heavy Feelings) and ERROL (Touching Bass).

Alongside Dauwd, Maryama has established one of Berlin’s most trusted explorations of Afro-diasporic and electronic sounds out of a post punk bar in Neukkoln for 10+ years. Her work with AAITF is nothing short of inspirational, so it’s such an honour to welcome her in to Open Ground for this second journey.
